Innhold
Norsk versjon
Sikkerhetsregler
- Aldri tørrkutt stein. All kutting må gjøres med vann!

English version
The tile cutter is a Biltema Tile Cutter TC 180 C, purchased by Roy for cutting slate and similar types of stone or tiles in general.
Safety Rules
- Never dry-cut stone. All cutting must be done with water! Dry cutting releases a lot of stone dust that you do not want to inhale and, not least, it will ruin the diamond blade.
- The blades for this saw are continuous rim diamond blades, like [this https://www.biltema.no/en-no/construction/tiling/tile-cutters/diamond-blade-180-mm-2000016896]. Do **not** use segmented blades!
- Use hearing protection – it is about 100 dB, which can do a number on your ears.
- Use safety goggles.
- Do not use gloves – they can get caught in things and pull your hand in, making things much worse than a small cut.
- Use an apron or something that can handle splashes – it will splash directly at you!
- Do not touch anything that spins.
- Use common sense and things should go well.
Usage
- Only make straight cuts – the blade is large and not suitable for anything else.
- Maximum cutting depth is 34 mm at vertical cuts or no tilt, or 18 mm at full tilt, that being at 45°.
- Fill the water reservoir to between the minimum and maximum, as indicated on the side. In practice, maximum is best. A lot of water splashes out while the machine is running.
- If you are making many cuts, check the water level regularly so it doesn’t run dry during use.
- Adjust the fence to the appropriate width.
- Place the stone slab on the fence and check.
- Turn on the motor and cut slowly – don’t force it, or it will end badly.
- When you are finished, clean up after yourself and put the machine back in its place.
